Weekly Adult Art Classes
Classes are ongoing and run every Wednesday at your chosen time

10-class block: $30/lesson (consecutive lessons, start anytime)
5-class block: $30/lesson (consecutive lessons, start anytime)
Casual: $35/lesson, pay as you go (deposit secures your spot)

Who?
Beginner–intermediate adults who want to learn how to paint loose, expressive landscapes in watercolour. No prior experience needed - just bring your creativity!
What does it include?
In collaboration with the Open Studios Sunshine Coast and Kenilworth Arts Council, join me to explore the magic of watercolour through simple, flowing techniques.
Using gravity, lifting, wet-on-wet, and layering, you’ll create a loose landscape full of movement and impact.

Hi! I’m Cassie (Teach is what I get called in class, thanks to my students banter ❤️)
I’ve been around art my whole life, growing up learning from my artist father, watching him paint murals and sketch our family. I later studied fashion design and visual arts, building strong foundations - but over time I realised I needed to reconnect with why I create. That led me to let go of perfection and find my own style.
I’ve been teaching fine art for over 5 years and I love helping others build skills while staying true to their own style. My focus is guiding you with technique, without losing what makes your work uniquely yours.

When?
4 hour workshop
Saturday 19th of September
10am-2pm
Who?
Beginner–intermediate adults interested in learning the beautiful technique of watercolour line and wash. Combine expressive pen work with luminous watercolour washes while exploring line quality, perspective, wet-on-wet techniques, and paint consistency. Create a vibrant landscape or cityscape full of character and atmosphere.
Feel free to bring your own landscape or cityscape reference photo - (A4 size, ensure it has a building of some sort in it - you can use your own house for example), or use one provided on the day.
You will take home your practice studies, reference notes, and a finished artwork.
What does it include?
Each class can differ but commonly the class flows as follows:
Each art medium begins with a clear, beginner-friendly introduction so you feel confident from the start. You’ll watch a live demonstration, then practice key techniques using a simple step-by-step worksheet designed to build your skills quickly.
From there, you’ll move into creating your own finished artwork, using a reference image as a guide or inspiration. You’ll be supported throughout with one-on-one guidance—whether that’s mixing the right colours or choosing the best techniques to bring your vision to life.

Working wet-into-wet, you’ll explore colour mixing, brushwork, values, and creating a finished painting in a single session. This expressive approach encourages confident mark-making and fresh, vibrant results.
