When?
2 hour workshop
Saturday 9th of January
10am–12pm
$40 · Limited spots available

Who?
Beginner–intermediate adults who want to learn how to paint Australian native botanicals in watercolour. You'll explore colour theory, learning how to mix fresh, natural greens and soft earthy tones from a simple palette, and how to build layers, soft blends and crisp edges. No experience needed.

You will take home your colour mixing chart, practice studies, technique notes, and a set of finished botanical paintings.

What does it include?
Each class can differ but commonly the class flows as follows:

The workshop begins with a clear, beginner-friendly introduction so you feel confident from the start. You'll learn the basics of colour theory and mix your own colours with a simple palette, then watch a live demonstration and practise key watercolour techniques using a step-by-step worksheet.

From there, you'll apply what you've learned to your own botanical paintings. I'll show you step-by-step examples to follow, and you'll be supported throughout with one-on-one guidance, whether that's mixing the right colours or choosing the best technique.

• All materials provided
• Tea & coffee, toilets, wheelchair access and ample parking available
• Take home multiple finished paintings, your colour chart, technique sheets, and new skills

Where?
Gheerulla hall – 2184 Eumundi Kenilworth Rd, Gheerulla (near Belli park)
All materials supplied

A little about your instructor:
Hi! I'm Cassie (Teach is what I get called in class, thanks to my students banter ❤️)

I've been around art my whole life, growing up learning from my artist father, watching him paint murals and sketch our family. I later studied fashion design and visual arts, building strong foundations - but over time I realised I needed to reconnect with why I create. That led me to let go of perfection and find my own style.

I've been teaching fine art for over 5 years and I love helping others build skills while staying true to their own style. My focus is guiding you with technique, without losing what makes your work uniquely yours.

What to bring:
Just bring yourself! All materials are supplied.
